Key Sections
Electoral eligibility: Full members (with up-to-date dues) who have completed at least
12 months of continuous membership are eligible to vote and contest.
Nomination rules: Nominations open 30 days before the scheduled General Body meeting;
nomination forms are available from the secretariat. Nominators must be Full Members in good standing.
Quorum & voting: The General Body meets with a simple majority quorum. Elections are by
secret ballot administered by an independent two-member Returning Committee appointed by the Executive
Committee. Proxy voting rules are published in the Constitution.
Dispute resolution: Election disputes are submitted in writing to the Returning
Committee within 7 days of results; the Executive Committee may appoint an independent arbiter in case
of contested outcomes.
